British Aerospace BAe-146-200
The British Aerospace BAe 146-200 is the mid-size, best-selling version of the four-engine 'Whisperjet' family, prized for its unusually quiet operation and short-field capability. Airlines used it extensively on routes into noise-restricted airports where louder twin-engine jets weren't welcome. Its high wing and four small underwing engines give it a distinctive silhouette compared with almost any other regional jet. Later re-engined and updated as the Avro RJ85, the basic airframe remained in production for decades.
