Boeing 737-200
The Boeing 737-200 is an early, stretched version of the original 737, extending the fuselage of the very first -100 model for extra passenger capacity. It became the definitive 'Classic' 737 for its era, flown by airlines worldwide on short- and medium-haul routes for decades. Some were specially fitted with gravel-runway kits, letting them operate from unpaved airstrips in remote parts of Canada and Alaska. Many -200s remained in active service well into the 21st century, a testament to the airframe's rugged, simple design.
