Airbus A-321

The Airbus A321 is the original, stretched version of the A320, seating up to around 220 passengers in a single aisle. Airlines use its extra length to carry more passengers on the same busy routes the smaller A320 flies, at a lower cost per seat. It shares its wing and engines with the shorter A320 and A319, keeping crew training and maintenance largely interchangeable across the family. It has since been succeeded in new orders by the re-engined, longer-range A321neo.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Airbus A-321 starts as a Common catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Airbus, the A320 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
