Airbus A-319

The Airbus A319 is a shortened version of the original A320, seating around 120 to 150 passengers on shorter or lower-demand routes. Its smaller size made it popular with low-cost carriers such as easyJet, which built large early fleets around the type. Because it shares the same wing, engines, and cockpit as the A320, airlines can crew and maintain both types interchangeably. It has since largely been succeeded in new orders by the re-engined A319neo.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Airbus A-319 starts as a Common catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Airbus, the A320 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
