Airbus A-320neo
The Airbus A320neo is a modernized version of the A320 family and made its first flight in 2014. The 'neo' stands for 'New Engine Option', since the aircraft is fitted with more efficient engines. As a result, the A320neo burns significantly less fuel than older A320 models and produces fewer emissions. Its large wingtip 'Sharklets', which reduce drag, are another distinctive feature.

The A320neo's 'neo' means New Engine Option — the same airframe as the A320 with new, more efficient engines and Sharklets.
