Airbus A-320

The Airbus A320 is a narrow-body airliner that entered service in 1988 as the first commercial jet with a full digital fly-by-wire control system. It seats around 150 to 180 passengers and became the direct rival to Boeing's 737, launching what is now the world's best-selling aircraft family. Its cross-section is a bit wider than the 737's, giving it slightly more cabin room. Later variants such as the A321, A319, and the re-engined 'neo' generation all trace back to this original design.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Airbus A-320 starts as a Common catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Airbus, the A320 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
