De Havilland Canada DHC-8-200 Dash 8

The DHC-8-200 kept the same 37-39-seat fuselage as the original Dash 8-100 but replaced its Pratt & Whitney PW120 engines with more powerful PW123 turboprops rated near 2,150 shp. The extra power lifted cruise speed by roughly 30 knots and improved climb and hot-and-high performance, making the -200 attractive for airlines flying from short or high-altitude airports without needing a larger cabin. It shares the family's high T-tail and rear nacelles that fold the main gear away from the wing. Production overlapped with the -100 through the 1990s before both gave way to the larger -300.

The Dash 8-200 is essentially a re-engined -100, gaining power for tougher, shorter, or hotter airports without changing its fuselage.
