Boeing 777-8
The Boeing 777-8 is a member of the next-generation '777X' family, built around new composite wings so long that their outer tips fold upward on the ground to fit existing airport gates. It's the shorter of the two 777X passenger variants, offering exceptional range for very long, thinner routes rather than maximum capacity. Its new GE9X engines are the largest and most powerful turbofans ever built for an airliner. As of the mid-2020s, it remained in flight testing behind its larger -9 sibling.
