Embraer EMB-545 Legacy 450
The Embraer Legacy 450, rebranded Praetor 500 after a major upgrade, is a midsize business jet built with a fully fly-by-wire flight control system, a technology more commonly found on larger, more expensive jets. That fly-by-wire system gives it notably crisp handling and built-in flight envelope protection unusual in its size class. The later Praetor 500 upgrade added new engines and winglets for meaningfully more range than the original Legacy 450. It competes directly with established midsize jets from Bombardier and Cessna, built on Embraer's deep experience from its regional-airliner business.
