Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner

The Boeing 787-8 is the original, shortest version of the Dreamliner family, the first widebody airliner built mostly from composite materials rather than aluminium. That composite structure allows a higher cabin humidity and lower cabin altitude than older jets, reducing the fatigue passengers often feel on long flights. Its relatively modest size lets airlines open new long, thin routes that would lose money with a larger widebody. A specially outfitted BBJ version is also sold as a long-range private or government aircraft.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner starts as a Uncommon catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Boeing, the 787 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
