Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner was the first widebody airliner built mostly from composite materials rather than aluminium, reducing weight and allowing a higher cabin humidity and lower cabin altitude for passenger comfort. The 787-9 is the most widely ordered version, stretched beyond the original -8 for extra range and capacity. Its large, dimmable electronic windows replace traditional pull-down window shades. The aircraft's efficiency opened many new non-stop long-haul routes that were previously uneconomical with larger widebody jets.
