Gulfstream Aerospace G-1159A Gulfstream 3
The Gulfstream III was an evolution of the earlier Gulfstream II, fitted with a new wing featuring distinctive winglets — among the first widely used on any business jet — to improve fuel efficiency and range. Those winglets became something of a Gulfstream signature, appearing on nearly every model the company has built since. Its extended range let it fly further non-stop than its Gulfstream II predecessor, opening up more intercontinental routes without a fuel stop. It helped cement Gulfstream's reputation for building some of the longest-range business jets available at any given time.
