Dassault Falcon 50

The Dassault Falcon 50 was the first trijet in the Falcon business jet family, adding a third engine to extend its range for transatlantic and other long-overwater routes that twin-engine business jets of the era weren't cleared to fly. Its wing, refined from earlier Falcon designs, gave it strong short-field performance despite its added range. That combination of long range and the ability to use shorter runways made it popular with operators needing to reach smaller, less-developed airports far from home. It set the template that Dassault continued to refine in the later, larger Falcon 900 and Falcon 7X.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Dassault Falcon 50 starts as a Rare catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Dassault, the Falcon 50 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.

Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
