Antonov An-74-300
The Antonov An-74-300 is an unusual re-engined development of the cold-weather An-74 transport. Earlier An-72 and An-74 aircraft put their engines above the wing to exploit blown lift; the -300 instead moved efficient turbofans beneath the wing. This gave it a more conventional appearance and improved economy, but it arrived too late for a large market. Its lineage is still recognisable in the high wing and rugged transport-aircraft proportions.

Unlike earlier An-72/74 variants, the An-74-300 moved its engines beneath the wing, trading blown-lift performance for a more conventional look.
