Airbus A-380-800

The Airbus A380 is the world's largest passenger airliner, with a distinctive full-length double deck that can seat over 500 passengers in a typical layout. It first flew in 2005 and was designed to ease congestion at crowded hub airports by moving more passengers per flight. Its four engines and roughly 80-metre wingspan required many airports to widen taxiways and gates specifically to accommodate it. Airbus ended production in 2021 after building around 250 aircraft, as airlines increasingly favoured smaller, more fuel-efficient twin-engine widebodies.
