Test CatchFlights on Android
CatchFlights is in closed testing on Google Play. Google shows the app only to accounts on the tester list, and that list is a Google Group — so joining takes two steps and about two minutes.

How to join
- 01
Join the testers group
Open the CatchFlights testers group on Google Groups and choose “Join group”. Use the Google account your Android phone is signed in to — Google Play checks exactly that account.

Install CatchFlights from Google Play
Open CatchFlights on Google Play with the same account and install it. If Play says the app is not available, your membership has not arrived yet: wait a few minutes and try again.

Before and after you join
Same account, everywhere
The group, Google Play and your phone have to use one Google account. With several accounts on the phone, switch Google Play to the one you joined the group with.
Updates come by themselves
New beta builds arrive through Google Play like any other app update. Your catches stay on your phone between updates.
It is a beta
You get new features before everyone else — and sometimes a rough edge with them. That is exactly what testing is for.
Leaving is easy
To stop testing, leave the test on the app’s Google Play listing and uninstall the app. You can also leave the Google Group.

About the Android beta
Does the Android beta cost anything?
No. Joining the testers group and installing CatchFlights from Google Play is free.
Why does Google Play say the app is not available?
Google Play only shows a closed test to accounts on the tester list. Either the group membership has not reached Google Play yet — wait a few minutes and reload — or Play is signed in to a different Google account than the one that joined the group.
Who can see that I joined the testers group?
Joining a Google Group shares the name and email address of your Google account with the group’s managers. They are used only to grant access to the test; CatchFlights itself needs no account and asks for no email address.
What happens when CatchFlights is public on Google Play?
Your installed app keeps updating through Google Play. You can leave the test then and stay on the public version.
