Pzl-Okecie PZL-106A Kruk
The PZL-106 Kruk, Polish for 'Raven', is a purpose-built agricultural aircraft from WSK PZL Warszawa-Okęcie designed to replace the ageing Antonov An-2 and PZL-101 Gawron in Comecon-country crop-spraying fleets. Its braced low-wing layout places the chemical hopper ahead of a raised pilot's seat, a safety-minded arrangement borrowed from designs like the Piper Pawnee so the load cannot crush the pilot in a hard landing. First flown in 1973, some 266 piston-engined Kruks were built, finding buyers mainly in Poland, East Germany and Argentina before the turboprop Turbo Kruk variant extended the family.
