Piper PA-28RT-201T Turbo Arrow IV
The PA-28RT-201T Turbo Arrow IV is the T-tailed, turbocharged final derivative of Piper's Cherokee Arrow line, using a 200 hp turbocharged Continental TSIO-360-FB and a T-tail moved clear of the propeller wake, unlike the earlier PA-28R Arrows' conventional tail. First certified in November 1978, it cruises around 162-166 kt at altitudes where its non-turbo siblings lose power. ICAO Doc 8643 also carries this airframe under a second designator, P28U, added later; this once caused Eurocontrol's systems to briefly reject the still-valid P28T code, disrupting flight planning for aircraft still using it.

Did you know?
Spot it by the T-tail: unlike the earlier Arrows, this Turbo Arrow's tail sits clear of the propeller wash.
