Fokker 70

The Fokker 70 is a shortened version of the Fokker 100 regional jet, built for airlines wanting the same modern glass cockpit and engines on a smaller, lower-capacity airframe. Its reduced size suited routes with less passenger demand than the standard-length Fokker 100 was designed for. Like its larger sibling, its production ended with Fokker's financial collapse in the 1990s, cutting the program short. It remains a familiar regional jet in parts of Europe, valued for its relatively quiet cabin and reliable handling.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Fokker 70 starts as a Rare catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Fokker, the Fokker family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
