Embraer EMB-145XR
The Embraer ERJ-145XR is the extended-range version of Embraer’s 50-seat regional jet, with extra fuel capacity and aerodynamic improvements. Its long narrow fuselage and rear-mounted engines made it a common regional-airline sight, but the XR is a more specific long-range sub-variant. It allowed thinner routes to be flown without a larger aircraft.

Embraer developed the 145XR to compete directly with Bombardier's CRJ family for the same 50-seat regional-jet routes across North America.
