Dirgantara Indonesia N-219 Nurtanio

The Indonesian N-219 Nurtanio is a high-wing twin-turboprop utility aircraft designed for remote islands and short, rough runways. Its large doors and fixed landing gear allow it to carry passengers, cargo, or medical supplies into areas where larger regional aircraft cannot operate. The first prototype flew in 2017 and the type achieved Indonesian certification in 2020. It represents an important attempt to revive indigenous aircraft manufacturing in Indonesia after earlier programmes stalled.

In CatchFlights the Dirgantara Indonesia N-219 Nurtanio starts as a Legendary catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you. The first catch of a legendary type pays a bonus of its own.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Dirgantara Indonesia, the N-219 Nurtanio family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
