Dg Flugzeugbau LS-10ST

The LS10 is an 18-metre Open Class sailplane whose design began at Rolladen-Schneider as a successor to the popular LS6, only for the company's 2003-era receivership to hand production to DG Flugzeugbau, which finally certified it in 2010. The 'st' suffix marks the self-launching turbo variant, fitted with a retractable engine sharing its installation with the LS8-st, while a lighter 's' version left the engine bay for later retrofit. Despite winning national and European contests as a prototype, only 25 LS10s were ultimately built before production ended, making it a rare sight on any grid.
