Centre Est DR-220 2+2
The DR.220 2+2 was Centre-Est Aéronautique's shorter-fuselage, lower-cost derivative of the DR.200 touring family, seating two adults up front and two children or light luggage on a cramped rear bench rather than the four full adult seats of the DR.250 Capitaine. Powered by a modest 105 hp Continental O-200-A, it traded outright cabin space for a lower price and lighter handling, slotting into Centre-Est's 1965 line-up alongside the larger DR.250, the related DR.221 and the DR.1051M1. Like its siblings it kept the Jodel-derived cranked wing and fixed tailwheel undercarriage that were then still the manufacturer's house style, before the later switch to tricycle gear.
