Centre Est DR-200

The Centre-Est DR.200 was a 1964 development of the wood-and-fabric Jodel touring family created by Jean Délémontez and Pierre Robin, gaining a strengthened wing and a longer fuselage than the earlier DR.1050. Built at Centre-Est Aéronautique's works in Darois near Dijon, it served as the basis for the definitive four-seat DR.250 Capitaine and the shorter DR.220 and DR.221 that followed within a year. Like other Jodel-derived designs, it carries the family's distinctive cranked wing, bent partway along its span to give gentle, forgiving handling without complex control linkages, and it rides on fixed tailwheel gear rather than the tricycle undercarriage later Robin models adopted.
