Beech 95 Travel Air
The Beechcraft Travel Air was the aircraft that established Beechcraft’s modern twin-engine line before the Baron arrived. It used a low wing, retractable gear, and two piston engines to offer private owners more speed and redundancy than a single. The Travel Air became popular with business travellers and flying clubs in the 1950s, then evolved into the more powerful Baron family. Its smaller cabin and early styling make it a rarer Beechcraft than the later twins it inspired.
