Antonov An-158

The Antonov An-158 is the stretched version of the An-148 regional jet, adding a longer fuselage and seating for up to 99 passengers while retaining the family’s high-mounted engines. That arrangement keeps the engine intakes farther from loose debris on poorly prepared runways. Only a small number were completed, chiefly for Cubana, making it much rarer than mainstream regional jets. The prototype first flew in 2010 and was originally intended to open export sales for the Ukrainian An-148 family.
