Airbus C-295
The Airbus C295 is a medium tactical transport developed from the earlier CASA/IPTN CN-235, stretched and re-engined for greater range and payload. Its rear loading ramp and unpressurised cargo hold let it carry vehicles, cargo pallets, or paratroopers into short, unprepared airstrips. Specialised maritime patrol versions add radar and sensor turrets for coast guard and naval surveillance duties. It has become a popular, modern successor to older tactical transports like the C-212 and C-160 in several air forces.

The C295 is roughly 3 metres longer than the CN-235 it was developed from, achieved by adding six new fuselage frames.
