Agustawestland AW-169
The Leonardo AW169 is a light-intermediate twin-engine helicopter designed from scratch, rather than stretched from an older airframe, giving it a modern flat cabin floor and wide sliding doors well suited to emergency medical and offshore work. Its fully digital glass cockpit and fly-by-wire-assisted flight controls were advanced for its light-intermediate weight class when it entered service in 2015. Many European air ambulance operators have adopted it specifically for its combination of cabin space, speed, and relatively low operating cost. It shares a family design philosophy with the larger AW139 and AW189.
