Xian MA-60H

The Xian MA60 is a Chinese regional turboprop developed from the older Y-7, itself related to the Antonov An-24. It has been exported widely to smaller airlines in Asia, Africa, and the Pacific, often on routes where rugged runway performance matters more than jet speed. The MA60H variant represents an updated configuration within the family. Its role is similar to an ATR or Dash 8, but its Soviet-derived ancestry gives it a different design history.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Xian MA-60H starts as a Legendary catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you. The first catch of a legendary type pays a bonus of its own.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Xian, the MA-60H family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.

Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
