Soko J-1 Jastreb
The Soko J-1 Jastreb was a Yugoslav light-attack aircraft derived from the earlier G-2 Galeb trainer. Its simple single-engine design could carry rockets, bombs, and guns for close-support missions while remaining economical to operate. Jastrebs served with Yugoslav forces and several export customers, and some saw combat during the Yugoslav wars. The type is a reminder of Yugoslavia’s once significant domestic aircraft industry, now represented mostly by museum and heritage examples.
