Sikorsky S-92
The Sikorsky S-92 is a large twin-engine helicopter built primarily for offshore oil-and-gas transport and search and rescue, designed from the outset to meet strict modern crash-survivability standards for flotation and structural integrity. Its wide cabin and rear-loading ramp make it easier to load bulky equipment or stretchers than helicopters with only side doors. Several national governments, including for head-of-state transport, have adopted militarised and VIP versions of the same basic airframe. It has become one of the most common large helicopters serving North Sea and Gulf of Mexico offshore platforms today.
