Sai (1) KZ-2 Kupe

The SAI KZ II Kupe was a two/three-seat touring monoplane designed and built in Denmark from 1937, notable as one of the first Danish-designed aircraft to reach genuine series production rather than remaining a one-off prototype. Its enclosed cabin, 'Kupe' being Danish for coupe, and side-by-side seating made it comfortable for private touring at a time when open cockpits were still common on light aircraft its size. Production continued even during the German occupation of Denmark, and the type remained a familiar sight at Danish flying clubs for decades afterward, with its maker, Skandinavisk Aero Industri, remembered as a pioneer of Danish aircraft manufacturing.
