Rockwell Commander 114
The Commander 114 is a low-wing, retractable-gear single powered by a 260-hp Lycoming IO-540, developed from the 200-hp Commander 112 by fitting the larger engine along with other refinements. Its notably wide cabin, a Commander family trait, remains a selling point among four-seat piston singles. Rockwell built roughly 485 112A/114s before selling the design; Commander Aircraft Company revived it in 1992 as the improved 114B with an upgraded interior, keeping the type in production long after Rockwell exited general aviation.
