Robin ATL

The Avions Robin ATL was a French ultralight touring aircraft designed for simple, economical recreational flying. Its light composite structure and low wing gave it a clean, modern look compared with many tube-and-fabric microlights of its era. The ATL was usually powered by a small Rotax engine and operated under European ultralight rules. Limited production and specialist ownership make it an uncommon type even in countries with active recreational aviation communities.

Robin built its reputation on wood-and-fabric trainers like the DR400, making the composite ATL an unusual departure into the ultralight category.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Robin ATL starts as a Rare catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Robin, the ATL family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.

Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
