Piper PA-28RT-201T Turbo Arrow 4
P28U is a second ICAO Doc 8643 code covering the same PA-28RT-201T Turbo Arrow IV already carried under P28T, added to give flight-planning systems an explicit designator for the type. Its introduction briefly broke flight planning for owners of aircraft filed under the older code: Eurocontrol's database rejected the still-valid P28T, and affected pilots had to file as ZZZZ with a TYP/P28T remark in field 18 until the database was corrected the following AIRAC cycle. Airframe, engine and performance are identical to the P28T-coded aircraft; only the paperwork differs.

Did you know?
A paperwork twin of P28T: both ICAO codes describe the same Turbo Arrow IV airframe, a mix-up that briefly broke European flight planning.
