Mcdonnell Douglas AV-8 Harrier

The CASA C-101 Aviojet is a Spanish jet trainer that also served in a light-attack role. It became internationally recognisable as the aircraft of Patrulla Águila, Spain’s national aerobatic display team, where its smoke trails and swept wing are familiar at European airshows. The compact jet was built by CASA in Seville and trained generations of Spanish pilots. Its retirement from Spanish service after more than four decades marked the end of a rare domestically produced European trainer line.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Mcdonnell Douglas AV-8 Harrier starts as a Legendary catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you. The first catch of a legendary type pays a bonus of its own.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Mcdonnell Douglas, the AV-8 Harrier family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.

Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
