Lockheed L-14 Hudson
The Lockheed Hudson was a military patrol and reconnaissance aircraft developed from the civilian Lockheed 14 airliner. Britain ordered it before the Second World War, making it one of the first major US aircraft purchases for the RAF. Hudsons hunted submarines, carried special agents, and flew maritime patrols around the world. The type achieved the first Allied air victory of the war over Europe when a Hudson shot down a German flying boat in 1939.

In CatchFlights
In CatchFlights the Lockheed L-14 Hudson starts as a Legendary catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you. The first catch of a legendary type pays a bonus of its own.
A catch counts for the manufacturer Lockheed, the L-14 Hudson family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
