Kawasaki T-4
The Kawasaki T-4 is Japan’s intermediate jet trainer, used to prepare pilots for frontline fighters after basic training. Its two small turbofans, swept wing, and tandem cockpit give it the feel of a compact fighter while keeping operating costs lower. The aircraft is most visible as the mount of Japan’s Blue Impulse aerobatic team, whose white-and-blue T-4s perform at airshows across the country. More than 200 have been built, but they are rare outside Japan.

Though primarily a trainer, the T-4 can carry practice bombs and gun pods, giving pilots early weapons-delivery experience.

In CatchFlights
In CatchFlights the Kawasaki T-4 starts as a Legendary catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you. The first catch of a legendary type pays a bonus of its own.
A catch counts for the manufacturer Kawasaki, the T-4 family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
