Jurca MJ-2 Tempête

The Jurca MJ-2 Tempête is a French single-seat sport monoplane designed by Marcel Jurca and first flown in 1956, sold purely as homebuilder's plans rather than as a finished aircraft. Built of wood with fabric-covered flying surfaces and a bubble canopy, it could be finished with any of more than a dozen different engine options, letting amateur builders match the airframe to whatever powerplant they had on hand. More than 60 were completed, and decades later dozens remained flying, mostly in France, making it one of the more enduring homebuilt designs to emerge from 1950s French amateur aviation.
