Jihlavan Skyleader GP One

The Skyleader GP One is a Czech ultralight built by Jihlavan Airplanes and introduced at the AERO Friedrichshafen show in 2010, designed from the outset to meet Fédération Aéronautique Internationale microlight rules for low-cost pilot training. Its carbon-fibre airframe keeps predicted empty weight to around 280 kg, and its high, cantilever wing needs no external struts, giving instructors and students an unobstructed view compared with strut-braced trainers of similar size. A fully enclosed, side-by-side two-seat cockpit with conventional doors and fixed tricycle gear round out a layout built for straightforward, everyday flight-school use. Deliveries to customers began in 2012.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Jihlavan Skyleader GP One starts as a Uncommon catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Jihlavan, the Skyleader GP One family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.

Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
