Jihlavan JA-400 Skyleader 400
The Skyleader 400 is a two-seat, low-wing light-sport aircraft from the Czech manufacturer Jihlavan Airplanes, unveiled in July 2012 as a shorter-fuselage, sportier-styled successor to the firm's earlier Skyleader models, with a side-opening canopy and low cowling meant to evoke a small sports car rather than a plain trainer. Its all-metal airframe carries integrated fuel tanks good for more than seven hours' endurance, and buyers choose from three equipment tiers, from a basic Rotax 912 UL to a fuel-injected or turbocharged Rotax engine with a full glass cockpit. It targets recreational pilots and flight schools rather than long-distance touring.
