Iriaf S-100 Saeghe

The HESA Saeqeh is an Iranian fighter derived from the Northrop F-5 family but fitted with twin vertical tails and locally developed systems. Its name means ‘Thunderbolt’ in Persian, and it is often described as an Iranian interpretation of the F-5 and F/A-18 design language. Only limited information about its numbers and capabilities is public. The twin-tail silhouette is its clearest visual difference from the original single-tail F-5.

In CatchFlights

In CatchFlights the Iriaf S-100 Saeghe starts as a Legendary catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you. The first catch of a legendary type pays a bonus of its own.

A catch counts for the manufacturer Iriaf, the S-100 Saeghe family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.

Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
