Harbin Y-12F Aircar
The Harbin Y-12F is a larger, modernised version of China’s Y-12 utility turboprop, built for regional passenger and cargo routes. It has more powerful engines, a wider cabin, and a redesigned wing compared with earlier Y-12 versions. The aircraft is aimed at remote communities and short regional sectors, where its fixed landing gear and high wing suit basic airfields. Its small production scale outside China makes it a rare alternative to Western commuter aircraft.

The Y-12F became the first aircraft in its family to earn EASA certification, in 2023, opening it to stricter Western markets closed to earlier Y-12 variants.
