Grumman S-2 Turbo Tracker
The Grumman S-2 Tracker was the first purpose-built single-airframe anti-submarine warfare aircraft for the US Navy, combining hunter and killer roles that had previously required two aircraft. The Turbo Tracker (S-2T) designation refers to Argentine Navy airframes that Israel Aerospace Industries refurbished in the 1990s with turboprop engines. Originally a twin-radial high-wing monoplane with folding wings and tricycle gear, it entered service in 1952. Argentina was the last nation to operate the type.

Did you know?
The Turbo Tracker name marks Argentine Navy airframes refitted with turboprop engines in the 1990s, not a factory Grumman model.
