Grumman G-1159 Gulfstream 2
The Grumman Gulfstream II was an early, influential large-cabin business jet, developed by Grumman before the Gulfstream brand and product line were later sold off and eventually became the independent Gulfstream Aerospace company. Its relatively large cabin, generous for a business jet of its era, set an early standard that later Gulfstream models continued to build on. It was popular with corporations and heads of state needing genuine long-range, stand-up-cabin travel decades before that became common in the business jet market. Its lineage runs in a direct, unbroken line to today's flagship Gulfstream G650.
