Glasair Sportsman 2+2
The Sportsman 2+2 is a four-seat, high-wing kit aircraft that Glasair Aviation developed after buying the rights to the smaller two-seat GlaStar in 2001, enlarging its cabin and payload while keeping the same removable-wing, folding-tail layout for easy trailering and storage. Builders can choose tricycle or tailwheel gear, and float or amphibious versions, making it unusually adaptable for a homebuilt design. Glasair's 'Two Weeks to Taxi' assisted-build program lets an owner complete the airframe under factory supervision in about fourteen days, a build model that has kept the Sportsman in active kit production long after many contemporaries disappeared.
