Ffa AS-202-15 Bravo
The FFA AS-202 Bravo is a two/three-seat basic trainer jointly developed by Switzerland's FFA and Italy's Savoia-Marchetti, first flown in Swiss-built prototype form on 7 March 1969. The definitive AS-202/18A, certified in 1975, upgraded to a 180-horsepower engine and became the mainstay export version, serving air forces in Oman, Uganda, Morocco, Iraq and Indonesia as a rugged primary trainer. Small numbers also flew in civilian hands, most notably eleven aircraft operated by British Aerospace Flight Training at Prestwick, Scotland, where they were nicknamed "Wrens" - the source of that name on this type's catalogue entry.
