Extra EA-400
The Extra 400 is a fast pressurised composite single designed for serious cross-country travel. Its turbocharged engine, retractable gear, and sleek low wing allowed it to cruise at altitudes normally associated with much larger aircraft. Production was limited, making it a rare German alternative to American high-performance singles.

Extra built the 400 for cross-country touring, an unusual departure for a manufacturer better known for competition aerobatic aircraft.
