Europa Europa
The Europa is a British low-wing, two-seat composite kit aircraft designed by Ivan Shaw and first flown on 12 September 1992, conceived as a fast, affordable tourer that could be built and stored at home and towed to the airfield on its own trailer. Its monocoque fuselage of moulded foam-and-cloth composite shells can be rigged for flight in under five minutes, and most versions use a retractable monowheel undercarriage housed in that slender fuselage. Popular Flying Association certification followed in May 1993, and by 2005 more than 1,000 kits had been sold across over 30 countries, making it one of the best-selling homebuilt designs of its era.
