Eurofighter Typhoon
The Eurofighter Typhoon is a multinational fighter jet built jointly by the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Spain, designed primarily for air-to-air combat but capable of ground attack as well. Its delta wing and foreplanes (canards) give it exceptional agility and allow very short takeoff and landing distances. Like many modern fighters, it's aerodynamically unstable by design, relying entirely on its computerised flight-control system to stay controllable. It remains one of the primary fighters of several European air forces today.

In CatchFlights
In CatchFlights the Eurofighter Typhoon starts as a Rare catch. The tier is an editorial judgement of how special a sighting of this type is. The more often you catch it, the closer it moves to Common for you.
A catch counts for the manufacturer Eurofighter, the Typhoon family and the model in your collection, and the daily Type Rating quiz asks about the types of each family.
Catch it yourself.CatchFlights shows the aircraft flying near you on a radar, so a type like this one is only a catch away when it passes overhead. Explore CatchFlights.
